 It has been more than three years since I wrote a blog.  Yes, three whole years.  I am alive, and have been in good health all these while. But somewhere somehow, I lost the motivation to write blogs. If you go through my previous blogs, you can clearly see I used to post my comments on the world affairs then. I used to post them on the feeling that I would be happy if at least a single person gets something of value from this site. But then, over time, I began to think- why am I writing, what change can I, a dork sitting in front of a screen, could do typing away words as if he would change the world using his words.  That was when I realized my eerie mind opened its rusty doors to the real political scenario. We are made to believe that we live in a political democracy, where the public governs. But is it so? In the past 75 years of India's independence, when have the people governed themselves? When have they been treated as the king by the so-called 'servants of...

The Modi Government has leased the iconic Red Fort to Dalmia Bharat Group. The group has bought it for a whooping sum of 25 crores for a period of five years in the name of conserving and developing it. Now, it is the government's responsibility to maintain the historic monuments of the country. They have started taking huge amounts of money from us in the form of taxes. But none of it is being used for 'conserving monuments' and the monuments are being sold to corporate firms, who eventually starts using these monuments for profitable activities.  😡

It is both shocking and heartbreaking to hear the news about the death of Asifa, the eight year old who was brutally raped. But even after this, the public is supporting those rapists witb religious slogans. The public is literally blinded of all these things. Dear 'Government of India', you had time to change the currency, introduce a brand new taxation system called GST, reduce corruption at administrative levels, but didn't you have the time to take action against these rapists? Remember there isn't much time for 2019...

The Maharashtra Bridge Collapse was an extremely tragic one, which claimed lives of and injured many people. First and foremost, my thoughts go out to those affected and to the kins of those who were killed. The British authorities had warned our government authorities that the British-built bridge would collapse soon. But our officers ignored them by saying that they had inspected it 2 months ago and everything was fine. But look at it now, the bridge has collapsed and claimed many lives. Is this the inspection that you have done 'two months ago'? Why are you silent now? Are you planning another inspection? My 'dear' Government Authorities, please do not ignore 'suggestions' given by others. Look into them and do the needful. People won't say anything without a reason. It is for your own country's citizen's safety, and kindly remember that maybe YOU could have put your family's lives in danger too!
