White, Brown or Green?

The Taj Mahal, one of the World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO, is changing colours. But isn’t that its speciality, changing colours during the course of the day? Actually it is. A few years ago, you all might have heard The Taj turning yellow because of the increasing pollution. Now it is turning brown and green. This pollution was, or IS caused by the industries located near the River Yamuna. These industries leave a ton of smoke into the atmosphere and also released effluents into the Yamuna. This, in turn polluted the river water. Yamuna has a lot of settlements on its banks and they depend upon this river water for the domestic activities. The Korean War has OFFICIALLY ended!

Yes. You read it correct. The Korean War has 'officially' ended with both North and South Korea signing a peace treaty. The Korean War was a war between North Korea, supported by its communist allies, and South Korea, with its principal support coming from the United States of America. But you all must be wondering- "hadn't the Korean War already ended way back in 1953?" Actually the answer is NO. In 1953, Both North and South Korea had signed an armistice. The armistice was only a cease fire between the military forces, rather than an agreement between the two governments. The peace treaty was signed just a few days ago, thereby ending the state of hostility between the two nations. (Courtesy by Google Images) Now, North Korea has said, or vowed, to shut down the country's nuclear test sites and also to open the process to experts and journalists from South Korea and United States of America. The North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has revealed plans

Shadow Cabinet in Kerala

Image
A new cabinet has taken oath on Saturday. Now you all may be wondering- "Which cabinet is he taking about? There are a few more days left for the Karnataka election". No, I am not talking about the Karnataka government. I am talking about a shadow cabinet that has been formed in Kerala.  There is not much reported by the media about it, as usual, but the shadow cabinet has been formed with the aim of monitoring government decisions and making it 'public-friendly'. The most interesting fact is that it is composed not by any politicians or run by any party, but by the civilians.  Now all of you might be wanting to know more about 'Shadow Cabinet', so I have looked up in the internet and found out what it really is, so as to give you a more clearer idea of what it actually is- " A shadow cabinet is an alternative cabinet formed with the aim of monitoring government decisions. Often the Opposition comprises a shadow cabinet, but in this case,
