In life, we all have our unique stories. Sometimes, we make small mistakes along the way. This is a tale of one such mistake, how it affected someone, and how they found their inner strength. Life is like a big puzzle, and we each have a piece to add. But what happens when our piece doesn't quite fit? This story is about a small misstep, a tiny blunder, and the strong heart that learned from it. One day, a little mistake happened, so small that it was almost like a whisper in the wind. But, as you might know, even quiet things can feel very loud inside. This mistake made me feel bad about myself. It was as if I'd lost something precious. I kept thinking about it, like a song that won't stop playing in your head. When things like this happen, it's easy to feel really down, like you're stuck in a dark tunnel. But there's a hidden strength inside all of us, waiting to be discovered. Instead of feeling terrible about the mistake, I decided to use it as a chance to
Life, with its intricate tapestry of experiences, is a journey riddled with uncertainties. From the choices we make to the outcomes we face, uncertainty permeates every aspect of our existence. While it may evoke feelings of discomfort and anxiety, embracing uncertainty can lead us on a profound and transformative path of self-discovery.  Life often presents us with unexpected twists and turns, shaking the very foundation of our plans and dreams. We find ourselves grappling with a sense of helplessness as we realize that control is merely an illusion. The fear of the unknown can grip our hearts and cloud our vision, leaving us paralyzed and afraid. Yet, it is precisely in these moments of uncertainty that the seeds of growth and resilience are sown. Embracing uncertainty calls upon us to release our grip on control and surrender to the flow of life. It is an act of courage, a willingness to let go of rigid expectations and embrace the beauty of the unpredictable. It is in the depths of

Where was I?!

It has been more than three years since I wrote a blog.  Yes, three whole years.  I am alive, and have been in good health all these while. But somewhere somehow, I lost the motivation to write blogs. If you go through my previous blogs, you can clearly see I used to post my comments on the world affairs then. I used to post them on the feeling that I would be happy if at least a single person gets something of value from this site. But then, over time, I began to think- why am I writing, what change can I, a dork sitting in front of a screen, could do typing away words as if he would change the world using his words.  That was when I realized my eerie mind opened its rusty doors to the real political scenario. We are made to believe that we live in a political democracy, where the public governs. But is it so? In the past 75 years of India's independence, when have the people governed themselves? When have they been treated as the king by the so-called 'servants of the societ

The Lankan Crisis- All You Need To Know

Image
On October 26, the President of Sri Lanka, Maithripala Sirisena had sacked the Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe and had appointed former President, Mahinda Rajapaksa with immediate effect. This came as a shocker for all the Sri Lankans and caused a widespread protest and riots. Sirisena was known to be a gentle person and little did they know that he was a 'wolf disguised in a sheep's clothing'. Maithripala Sirisena The fact to be noted is that the nation’s President and Prime Minister come from traditionally opposing parties that formed a surprise coalition in 2015 to oust the then-president Mahinda Rajapaksa, who many feared was becoming too powerful. In the past two years, this ruling coalition has started to fall apart. It is dysfunctional and unpopular with the Sri Lankan public. Since at least February this year, president Maithripala Sirisena has been searching for ways to remove the prime minister, Ranil Wickremasinghe. On October 26th, he

Things You Don't Know About Kerala Floods

It was a normal, rainy day of August 15. India was celebrating its 71st year of Independence. School was closed, and I was sitting in front of the box, with my morning dose of caffeine (you know what I mean), watching India celebrate her independence. It was raining 'cats and dogs' since early morning. Everyone, including me, thought this rain would subside after sometime, like how it rains any other day. But little did we know that this rain would be... ONE HECK OF A RAIN! After the Prime Minister's address, I switched off the television and went back to doing my own thing, which apparently is studying. But I got a message saying that my exams have been postponed because of heavy flooding in school. "Shit... Did I hear 'heavy flooding'?" I became nervous. My fridge had gone down due to voltage fluctuations, and if it floods near my area, I am certainly DOOMED, as I neither had enough stock of food nor did I have any refrigerating options. But the p

White, Brown or Green?

The Taj Mahal, one of the World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO, is changing colours. But isn’t that its speciality, changing colours during the course of the day? Actually it is. A few years ago, you all might have heard The Taj turning yellow because of the increasing pollution. Now it is turning brown and green. This pollution was, or IS caused by the industries located near the River Yamuna. These industries leave a ton of smoke into the atmosphere and also released effluents into the Yamuna. This, in turn polluted the river water. Yamuna has a lot of settlements on its banks and they depend upon this river water for the domestic activities. The Taj Mahal in 1992 (left) and in 2018 (right) (Courtesy by telegraph.co.uk) The most interesting fact is that the authorities, who are responsible for the maintenance of the monument, are bothered about this now. They do not know that this started taking place a few years back. No one was bothered about it then. When the indus
